Community Spotlight: Let’s Make A Team Pack

It has been a minute, but we are back with another Community Spotlight.  This one is inspired by the recently announced Maker’s Tournament created by the Community’s own JLucer0.  For details on that, please check out the link hosted by Breath Weapon X here.  In that, you were charged to create a custom card (using our very own Custom Card Maker), and these cards would be voted on by the Community to use in the actual Tournament.

I have designed lots of cards over my time in Dice Masters, as I enjoy the creative aspect of making something new.  This re-ignited the spark to get back into this process and I just started spewing out cards.  Unfortunately, only cards made by participants were eligible to be considered for the Tournament… which is completely fair.  That won’t stop me from sharing some of that I have made here.

So, how does all of this tie into a Community Spotlight?  There was enough response to people submitting cards for the Tournament, that I wanted to throw the same challenge out to the Community… but to design a Team Pack instead.  With the lull in official product still in full effect, I thought it might be fun to make something un-Official.  This is a “just for fun” exercise, and no physical products should be made for distribution from this endeavor.  We’ve got lots of creative people in this Community.  Let’s see what you’ve got!

We are going to attempt something that has never been done before in Dice Masters…

The Challenge…

That’s right… We are going to tie in to a current Marvel movie.  The challenge I am putting forward to the Community is to help design a Team Pack based on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!  We will build a Team Pack of 8 characters, with 3 versions of each one.

You will use the following characters in this challenge:

  1. Ant-Man
  2. Hank Pym
  3. Wasp
  4. Janet van Dyne
  5. Cassie Lang
  6. Kang
  7. M.O.D.O.K.
  8. FANS CHOICE / WILDCARD (You can select whatever character/action you feel would fit into this slot)

It does not matter if you have seen the movie or not.  Be creative with this.  Let us see what cool and thematic abilities you can come up with for these characters.

The Rules…

  1. All dice used must be existing Dice Masters dice.  You cannot make something up here.  We want the cards to be usable if someone wanted to try them out in an actual game.  Please be sure to specify what die you want to use for your card when you submit your entry.
  2. You will submit one card per form submission.  You can submit your cards in this Google Form.  If you are submitting more than one card, you will need to fill out the form multiple times (one for each submission).  You are more than welcome to submit multiple copies of the same character.  There is no limitation here.
  3. You are not required to create images for this exercise, but if you would like to… please feel free to use our Custom Card Online Editor on our site.  You can submit this image in the Google Form linked above.
  4. By submitting your custom card images, you are giving us permission to post your work in Galleries on our website.
  5. This exercise will be open to submissions until Friday March 17, 2023.
  6. All entries will be posted on this page as they are submitted.
  7. Like the Maker’s Tournament, we will open up voting for cards to see what makes the cut for the Community Team Pack.  In the event there are only 3 cards submitted for a character, congrats!!!  Your card will automatically make it into the Team Pack.
  8. This exercise is for personal entertainment use only.  Under no circumstances should any of these cards be produced for distribution and/or sale.

Put your designer hat on and let’s send Dice Masters into the Quantum Realm!
