Canadian Nationals 2018!

Major news for Canadian Dice Masters players: Canadian Nationals has now been posted! They are planned for July 14th and 15th, 2018. And best of all: they are taking place in my hometown of Gatineau, Quebec!

(Many thanks to my friend Shahin Yazdani, aka theroyalfalcon, for sharing this on DM Unlimited, among other places)

There will be two qualifiers on Saturday, July 14 (with one of 4 players qualifying in each qualifier), with Nationals themselves starting at 11 AM, July 15. Note that it’s been confirmed that both the qualifiers and Nationals themselves will use the Modern format (ignore the “Unlimited Constructed” wording present on the page; this is apparently in error and should hopefully be fixed shortly). Prizing seems to be the same as what our American friends will be seeing.

It is currently unknown whether any sets will be released between now and Nationals, so we’re not 100% sure what the meta will look like, but we will most definitely be seeing some fun and exciting games!

Since this is taking place in my hometown, if anyone has any questions about the area (hotels, places to eat, etc.), feel free to leave them in the comments down below and I’ll be glad to answer them for you. I hope to see you all here this July!
